Designed for young dancers ages 3-5 and is fun-filled and fast-paced. Rhythm and movement games teach students new ways to express themselves through dance. We will stretch, do light tumbling, learn basic ballet techniques, and work on gross motor skills! Registration deadline is Tuesday, September 8. *NOTE: No class Oct.17 (MEA).

A fun workout program designed for the active 55+ adult who exercises with few limitations. The class uses a variety of strength, cardio, and balance moves
to give you a full body workout. All levels of fitness are welcome – everyone works at their own level of ability. NOTE: No class November 3. Registration Deadline: Friday, August 28.

Learn skill training and information that is necessary for caring for infants and children in this American Health & Safety Institute accredited program. This program will teach the importance of responsibility, recognizing an emergency, emergency action steps, personal safety, fire and water safety, infant/child basic care, responding to an unconscious victim, CPR, choking management and basic first aid. Upon successful completion, participants will earn the Babysitting Safety Training certification card. Please bring a pen, paper, snacks,
and beverages. Must be 11 years at the start of class. Ages 11 - 15. Registration Deadline: Friday, October 2.

This class teaches the fundamentals and combinations of jazz techniques. Students will learn combos as well as stretching, barre work, and progressions across the floor. Ages 8 - 12.

Boost your child's self-esteem with soccer, a team sport that will improve gross motor skills and coordination, and also fosters creativity with fun games to help learn soccer skills. Registration is limited according to the MN Dept. of Health guidelines, and groups will be split into teams. As the weather changes, we will use the Rec Center Gym as an indoor facility. Ages 3 - 4. Participants receive a team shirt, medal, and certificate. Note: Children must be out of diapers to participate. Registration deadline is Thursday, Oct. 1. **NO CLASS NOV. 3**

A 60-minute class of gentle yoga poses that focus on flexibility and mobility. Postures are performed lying on the floor, seated, kneeling and standing. It is recommended that you have the ability to move between these positions.
Students are encouraged to bring yoga blocks and a strap to assist postures. We use slow, dynamic movement, breathing strategies, and a short meditation to create a calm experience. The instructor will help you learn how to move into poses and adjust poses to work with your body. This is an opportunity
for everyone to come together for a focused time to nurture body, mind, and spirit. Registration Deadline: Friday, September 11.

It’s time for some running and kicking fun! Join our team to learn the sport of soccer. Each week, we use fun games to teach soccer skills, build self-confidence, and learn sportsmanship. Ages 5 - 6. All participants will receive a Chan Rec Center Sports t-shirt, along with a medal and certificate the final day. As the weather changes, we will use the Rec Center Gym as an indoor facility. Registration is limited to meet Minnesota Department of Health Youth Sports Guidelines. Registration deadline is Thursday, Oct. 1. **NO CLASS NOV. 3**

A 60-minute class of traditional yoga poses that focus on strength and
flexibility. The class uses continuous flowing sequences to move through three energy phases: Gentle stretches and warming postures, strengthening postures and balance work, deep stretches, and mind work. Students are encouraged to bring yoga blocks and a strap to assist postures. The class moves slowly and focuses on precision for optimal health and safety in a challenging practice. The instructor will help you learn to personalize your yoga practice to meet weekly goals. Registration Deadline: Friday, September 11.
