Designed for young dancers ages 3-5 and is fun-filled and fast-paced. Rhythm and movement games teach students new ways to express themselves through dance. It’s time for some running and kicking fun! Join our team to learn the sport of soccer. Each week, we use fun games to teach soccer skills, build self-confidence, and learn sportsmanship. Ages 5 - 6. All participants will receive a Chan Rec Center Sports t-shirt, along with a medal and certificate the final day. As the weather changes, we will use the Rec Center Gym as an indoor facility. Registration is limited to meet Minnesota Department of Health Youth Sports Guidelines. Registration deadline is Thursday, Oct. 1.

Nurture your child's inner musician with Music
Together, an internationally renowned early childhood
music and movement program developed for children
ages 0-5 and the grown-ups who love them. During
this 10-week session of weekly classes, we sing,
dance, chant, and play instruments in an informal
setting with this research-based curriculum. Children
learn through play with a wide variety of music that
will enrich their musical environment and guide them
towards a lifetime of music-making enjoyment. They
(and you!) will have so much fun with the multicultural
music collections while obtaining all the learning,
and developmental benefits music offers - especially
during the early childhood years when children are
most impressionable. Our class sizes will be smaller (8 students maximum per class), and we will be more spread out to have each family 6 feet apart. We
will also take time between classes to allow a thorough sanitizing of every instrument/prop, surfaces, etc.

Participants have the opportunity to play in an eSports league competition hosted by Blaze Fire Games in a secure, monitored, and fun environment. League play is done remotely from your home on your gaming consoles (specify when registering). Players receive a new, 3-game schedule each Wed. through the GYO eSports schedule platform. Flex scheduling allows a week to complete matches and players select competition times that work for both players. All leagues run 5 weeks for the regular season, with top competitors being invited back for a 6th, final week to participate in a playoff tournament. With your registration fee, you may select up to 3 games to play, and you will complete 3 matches per week in your selected titles. Winners will receive a Blaze Fire Game Championship Trophy and be entered weekly to win a free Blaze Fire Game merchandise gift card. Blaze Fire Team Jerseys are available to purchase for an additional fee. Ages 7+. Register now through Sun., Sep. 13.

Boost your child's self-esteem with soccer, a team sport that will improve gross motor skills and coordination, and also fosters creativity with fun games to help learn soccer skills. Pilates uses precise movements to build strength, mental
focus and control. Each exercise is rooted in spinal movement
or spinal stabilization. Limbs are used as weights as well as tests of coordination, balance and flexibility. Exercises are done lying on your back, lying on your side, prone, or seated. Please wear comfortable clothing meant for exercise and bring a mat. This class is designed specifically for students new to Pilates practice who are interested in discovering what it is all about. We take the “work” out of workout by mixing low-intensity and
high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness
party. The workout is a “watch and follow” format, with a combination of
fast and slow rhythm tone, sculpts the body by maximizing caloric output,
fat burning, and total body toning. Registration Deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Neuroscientists recommend playing Mah Jongg (a complex thinking game) to improve memory. Psychologists deem it's low-cost therapy; players call it fun! A tile-based, 4-player game created for the ruling class during the time of Confucius in China, Mah Jongg has now spread worldwide. The object of the game is to collect winning sets of tiles. The tiles have characters and numbers, and the rules are intriguing. Instructor Melinda Colwell teaches the modernized and westernized version in this 6-week class. NOTE: Each participants will be required to have their own Mah Jongg set (borrow a frend's or buy your own; the Senior Center can also assist in ordering a set for you). Class is limited to 8 players. Sign up online or at the Senior Center.

Continuous gameplay for up to 2 hours. Cost is .25 per game using disposable paper cards. Players must either bring their own marker/dobber or purchase one at the beginning of play. Please bring small sandwich baggies in which to place your game coins.
