The City Council members serve on the Economic Development Authority. They are:


The Chanhassen EDA is a local government agency for the City of Chanhassen. The purpose of this agency is to assist with development and redevelopment projects in the city.

The EDA was instrumental in the redevelopment of downtown Chanhassen in the 1990s and early 2000s. Major projects since then include assisting with the development of the Presbyterian Homes Summerwood Senior Housing Project (2003), the Gateway Apartments at the intersection of Highways 101 and 212 (2008), construction of the SouthWest Transit Downtown Chanhassen Station (2011), and redevelopment of the Frontier Building into the Venue/Aldi in downtown Chanhassen (2018).
