Station 1 was completed in 1967 just a year after the department was formed. The original building had two truck bays and also served as the Village Hall. A hose tower was added in 1981. A major remodeling project in 1989 added two more truck bays, an expanded office area, lower lever training and exercise room. The station is staffed by 38 Firefighters and houses 7 of the department's primary response apparatus.
Station 2 was completed in 1989 as a satellite fire station serving the developments located west of Lake Minnewashta. Don't let the address fool you. The station is located in Chanhassen but is in the Excelsior mailing district. This station is staffed by 8 Firefighters and houses two engines and a rescue vehicle.
