The project is located in northeast Chanhassen, off of Pleasant View Road in Pleasant View Preserve. The project involves ravine stabilization and improvements, including check dams leading into Silver Lake. The check dams will be reinforced with iron enhanced sand filters. As the water filtrates in the check dam, the iron in the sand allows for additional phosphorus removal from the stormwater. A cross section of one of the check dams can be found below.

The overall goal of the project is to stabilize the eroded ravine, reduce phosphorus loading and thus improve the water quality in Silver Lake.

The project is currently in construction phase.
